Auto safety goes beyond driving
Canada’s road network is shared by a wealth of different users, including 20 million light vehicles, 750,000 medium and heavy trucks, 15,000 public transit buses, motorcoaches and motorcycles in addition to pedestrians, cyclists and rollerbladers. Combine this with factors such as auto maintenance, driving habits and constantly changing weather patterns, owning and driving an automobile becomes an important responsibility. But, with a little knowledge before hitting the road and some preventative steps, you can protect yourself, those around you and your automobile.
